Founded in 1976 in Spartanburg, South Carolina out of a single Schlitz beer distributorship, Reyes Beverage Group (RBG) is a family-owned conglomerate of beer distributors that has grown into the largest beer distributor in the United States. Today, RBG operates out of 23 warehouses and 13 individual distribution companies, delivering over 151 million cases to more than 57 thousand accounts over the last year.
But it's not only our size that sets us apart. It's our dedication to providing the best service to our customers and always conducting ourselves with integrity. It's the resources we devote to developing our employees' skills and reinforcing that their safety is always our top priority. And it's our promise to do everything we can to leave this planet just a little better than we found it.
RBG has facilities in Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, California, South Carolina, Washington D.C. and Florida.
“I am very proud of the time and commitment I have given to Reyes Beverage Group, but I'm just as proud to work for a company that has provided me with the opportunity to develop and grow from a merchandiser without any previous beer industry knowledge, to become a President of one of their businesses.”
“Prior to joining the Reyes team I was an employee owner of a Reyes brewery partner. Working hand in hand with RBG quickly led me to want to join their force of world class distributorships and employees who are the best in the industry. I can proudly say that I celebrated my two-year anniversary with a family owned company who develops their talented employees to be the industry's best.”
“The most rewarding aspect (of working at RBG) has been seeing people that I have either hired, that have worked for me, or been peers of mine grow within the organization... There are so many people I have worked with that have moved throughout the organization - I really believe that Reyes is unique in that the opportunities seem to be endless.”
“In my 23 years with Reyes, I have been given the opportunity to grow professionally while maintaining a great work-life balance. I love sharing my wisdom and knowledge from my journey, and developing my team to become the next generation of leaders! To quote Thomas Edison, 'Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work'.”
“I'm grateful that I work for a company that puts emphasis on the development and growth of its employees. Seeing company Presidents, Directors and Managers who started at entry level, but have worked their way up says a lot to me. It's a constant reminder that anything can be achieved through hard work and dedication within this company.”
“We have a very unique culture at RBG - while we all work hard, I can honestly say we have fun while doing it. Over my 12 years with Reyes, I have developed real friendships with my teammates, brewery partners and retail customers. We have bonded over our shared passion for beer and helped each other grow our business along the way.”
“I've always known that our company is all about their people and building opportunities. I was very fortunate and grateful that I was given the opportunity to advance my career as soon I as did. I feel without the approach that Reyes takes, I would not have the chance to grow as quickly as I have.”
“We accomplish collectively what we could not accomplish separately – the focus on people in the workplace will continue to make us win in the market place. Passion, People, and Beer what else is there?”
“One thing I've learned about our company is how important developing people really is, and that there are people just waiting to be given that one break or shot to prove that they can do more. Promoting from within has been a huge success for RBG. If your employees have an opportunity to grow with the company, they are usually much more productive in their current roles.”
